A coalition of institutions across the Arab and Muslim worlds has launched an international campaign under the slogan “Al-Aqsa is calling for help,” in protest against the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque and efforts to impose Israeli control over the holy Islamic site.

The campaign aims to mobilize public awareness, galvanize collective action, and defend Islamic holy sites amid what organizers describe as escalating violations.

Activities are scheduled to begin on April 1, 2026, and will continue through April 9, featuring a series of coordinated events designed to bring Al-Aqsa back to the forefront of regional and international attention.

A central event will be held in Istanbul on April 4, bringing together dozens of organizations in an effort to unify institutional and grassroots support for the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Organizers said the campaign seeks to highlight ongoing violations at the site, activate the role of institutions and influential figures across the Arab and Muslim worlds, and mobilize international public opinion to pressure for an end to these actions.

They stressed that the initiative comes amid intensifying measures targeting Al-Aqsa, calling for unified official and popular efforts to protect Islamic holy sites.

The organizing bodies also urged institutions, public figures, and communities worldwide to actively participate in the campaign and its events, aiming to amplify the voice of Al-Aqsa globally and strengthen both public and official engagement in its defense.
