A horde of extremist Jewish settlers performed Talmudic prayers in the Bab al-Sahira area of the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday evening to mark the “Jewish Passover,” amid ongoing restrictions on Muslim worshipers.
The Jerusalem Governorate said that a number of settlers performed prayers in the area after Jewish temple groups incited their followers to attempt conducting rituals, including animal sacrifices, as close as possible to the Aqsa Mosque.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police have continued to block Muslim worshipers from entering the Aqsa Mosque for the 33rd consecutive day, citing security claims to justify its closure of the holy site.
Since the outbreak of the Zio-American aggression against Iran on February 28, the Israeli police have closed the Aqsa Mosque, banning prayers throughout most of the holy month of Ramadan, as well as the Eid al‑Fitr prayer.
This closure of the holy site persists amid a heavy deployment of Israeli forces and police checkpoints throughout the Old City, which remains accessible only to Palestinian residents of its neighborhoods.
