Top Hamas delegation meets Turkish foreign minister in Ankara

A high-level delegation from the Hamas Movement met on Tuesday with Turkish foreign minister Hakan Fidan in Ankara City and discussed with him different issues of mutual interest.

The Hamas delegation included Khalil al-Hayya, head of the Movement in Gaza, and senior officials Zaher Jabarin and Maher Salah.

The two sides discussed the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, and the deepening humanitarian crisis resulting from Israel’s ongoing ceasefire violations

The Hamas delegation also highlighted the growing settler crimes in the occupied West Bank, the continued closure of the Aqsa Mosque for more than a month, and the Israeli Knesset’s adoption of a death penalty law against Palestinian prisoners.

Both parties stressed the need to pressure the Israeli occupation regime to honor the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, and put an end to its violations and crimes in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and inside prisons.

The Hamas delegation expressed its appreciation to the Turkish government, people, and president Recep Erdogan for the efforts they make to support the Palestinian people and their national cause in different international meetings and events.
