39 civilians killed and 136 injured in Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon

Three Lebanese civilians were killed and others were injured on Sunday in an Israeli airstrike targeting the town of Siddiqine in the Tyre district as part of a series of intense and ongoing strikes on multiple towns in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the death toll from Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours has risen to 39 people killed and 136 injured.

Large areas across Lebanon witnessed a wave of nighttime airstrikes targeting the towns of Kfardounin, Batouleh, Shaabiyeh, Ain Baal, Kafra, Siddiqine, and Wadi al-Hujair. The town of Kfarhatta in the Sidon district was also hit by more than six strikes, resulting in one victim, multiple injuries, and widespread property damage.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced in a series of statements that it had targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles in the towns of al-Bayyada, Aita al-Shaab, and the al-Sadr area, as well as near the settlement of al-Malkiya. It also reported launching a swarm of attack drones at the Zar’it military barracks as part of its response to the ongoing airstrikes.

Earlier, the Israeli military warned people in the vicinity of the Masnaa border crossing between Lebanon and Syria to evacuate ahead of a planned strike, claiming the crossing was being used for “military purposes.”

On Saturday evening, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that since March 2, the total toll from Israeli attacks on the country has reached 1,422 killed and 4,294 injured.
