Palestinian killed after collapse of home damaged by Israeli strike

GAZA, (PIC)

A Palestinian man was killed after the roof of a home previously damaged by an Israeli strike collapsed in the Gaza Strip on Sunday.

Local sources reported that Ishaq Ziad Al-Katnani, 20, was killed when the roof of a house, damaged in an earlier Israeli bombardment, collapsed in the Al-Yarmouk area in central Gaza City.

Similar incidents have previously resulted in several casualties, as many residents are forced to take shelter in homes damaged by Israeli airstrikes due to the lack of alternative housing.

The PIC correspondent reported that dozens of residents choose to remain in their damaged homes despite the risks, driven by the severe hardship of living in displacement tents.

Israel has destroyed approximately 90% of homes and buildings in the Gaza Strip over 29 months of Gaza genocide, leaving more than two million people displaced and homeless, most of whom are living in deteriorating tents.
