A Palestinian civilian was martyred by Israeli gunfire on Sunday in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, amid ceasefire violations persisting for the 183rd consecutive day.
Local sources identified the martyr as Yehya al-Agha, 48, saying he was shot dead near the intersection of Street 5 and Salahuddin road in Khan Yunis.
Since dawn, new violations were recorded, including the demolition of residential buildings in both northern and southern Gaza, among them homes east of Khan Yunis and in northern Gaza City.
Israeli tanks also opened heavy fire towards eastern Khan Yunis and areas east of Jabalia refugee camp in the north, amid ongoing military activity in different areas of the coastal enclave.
