Widespread night escalation: IOF launches fresh raids, arrests across West Bank and O. Jerusalem

Occupied Jerusalem and various West Bank governorates witnessed a tense night and a Friday dawn marked by intensive military movements, raids, and arrests.

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out a series of incursions and raids targeting homes and refugee camps, resulting in arrests and widespread searches as part of an ongoing escalation policy pursued by Israeli occupation against Palestinian towns and cities.

In Occupied Jerusalem, large Israeli forces stormed the town of Al-Ram, north of the city, directly targeting the home of the family of the slain Palestinian Misbah Abu Sbeih. The house was searched and its contents ransacked, in a continued policy of targeting the families of those killed.

In Nablus, raids were concentrated on Haifa Street, where a man was arrested after his home was raided. Military operations also extended to Balata refugee camp east of the city and Sufian Street, where soldiers stormed several homes and mistreated residents amid heightened tensions.

Jenin was not spared from the escalation, as IOF stormed the town of Burqin to the west, carrying out house raids and searches, alongside similar operations in Qalqilya Governorate, where the village of Nabi Ilyas was also raided.

In Ramallah, incursions targeted Jalazone refugee camp to the north and the town of Al-Mazra’a al-Sharqiya. The area also witnessed settler attacks, as groups of settlers raised Israeli flags at the entrance of the town of Turmus Ayya in a provocative act under the protection of Israeli forces.

In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces continued their operations by storming Aida refugee camp north of Bethlehem, as well as carrying out a raid in the village of Al-Deirat east of Yatta, south of al-Khalil, where homes were searched and residents were intimidated.

These rapid field developments reflect the scale of military pressure being exerted by Israeli forces across the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem, raising concerns about continued public unrest amid ongoing attacks and systematic arrests targeting civilians and property.

In a related development, a Palestinian man was seriously injured on Thursday evening during an Israeli raid on Qalandia refugee camp, north of Occupied Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams treated a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and the injured individual was transferred to the hospital for treatment.

Local sources said Israeli military vehicles entered the camp, sparking clashes with residents, during which soldiers fired live ammunition and tear gas.

Palestinian refugee camps in the West Bank continue to face repeated incursions by Israeli forces, often accompanied by confrontations that result in injuries and arrests, amid escalating repression in Occupied Jerusalem and its surroundings.
