The UN special rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, has described the Israeli occupation army as “the most depraved,” commenting on a video showing soldiers assaulting a Palestinian child.
On Sunday, Albanese wrote on her X account that she “has seen enough to say this with certainty,” referring to the Israeli violations she has documented during her work and monitoring of the situation in the Palestinian territories.
“I have seen enough to say it with absolute certainty: the Israeli army is the most depraved army,” her post read.
In a related context, Albanese said recently that she has faced increasing death threats since publishing her report accusing Israel of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, noting that her life has turned into something resembling a “rollercoaster ride.”
In an interview with The Guardian, she said she had received death threats and now lives with a constant sense of danger, due to her positions and reports on Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
