GAZA, (PIC)

Israeli occupation forces continue carrying out shelling and heavy gunfire across various areas of the Gaza Strip amid ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.

According to field reports, Israeli violations have continued for the 217th consecutive day on Thursday, including artillery firing, airstrikes, gunfire from military vehicles, demolitions of homes and civilian structures, and attacks targeting residential neighborhoods, displacement camps, and shelters.

In northern Gaza, Israeli artillery targeted areas in Jabalia refugee camp and the city of Beit Lahia, while heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles continued in eastern Khan Yunis.

Local sources reported artillery shelling and gunfire targeting several areas east of Khan Yunis and east of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, in addition to attacks on civilian homes and areas surrounding displacement shelters.

Israeli military vehicles and bulldozers also advanced into the al-Sakafi area in the Beit Lahia housing project in northern Gaza, accompanied by heavy gunfire toward civilian homes and displacement areas.

Israeli forces additionally detonated several homes in eastern Gaza City as part of the ongoing destruction of residential infrastructure across the Strip.

Sixteen people were injured on Wednesday in Israeli gunfire, shelling, and the explosion of unexploded remnants from the war in northern and central Gaza.

On the humanitarian level, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the Israeli war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,740. Meanwhile, 172,555 people were injured, including many in critical condition.

Medical sources said the ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire have left 856 Palestinians killed and 2,463 others injured since the truce took effect, warning that the humanitarian and health crisis in Gaza continues to worsen.

Israeli forces continue to violate the fragile ceasefire agreement reached in Sharm el-Sheikh through Arab and American mediation on October 10, 2025, after more than two years of war on the Gaza Strip.
