Settlers attack Palestinian vehicles in Shuqba west of Ramallah

Israeli settlers set fire to a Palestinian vehicle and smashed the windows of two others on Friday evening during an attack on the outskirts of the town of Shuqba, west of Ramallah.

A local media source said settlers attacked the area surrounding an agricultural structure on the western side of Shuqba while several Palestinians were there for recreation. The settlers burned one vehicle and shattered the windows of two others before withdrawing as Israeli occupation forces simultaneously stormed the area.

According to a report issued by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and settlers carried out 1,637 attacks against Palestinians, their land, and property during April.

The report said that Israeli occupation forces were responsible for 1,097 attacks, while settlers carried out 540 attacks. It added that the assaults were concentrated mainly in the governorates of Nablus with 402 attacks, followed by al-Khalil with 340, Ramallah and al-Bireh with 312, and Bethlehem with 171.
