Israeli forces and settlers storm W. Bank areas, attack Palestinians

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and extremist settler groups carried out raids and assaults last night and on Saturday morning in different areas of the West Bank.

According to local sources in al-Khalil, a horde of settlers assaulted a Palestinian family as they were harvesting their swaths of land in the hamlet of Khirbet Amnizel of Masafer Yatta and stole their agricultural equipment under the protection of Israeli soldiers.

Settlers also stole sheep belonging to Palestinians after storming the Haribat an-Nabi area of Masafer Yatta, while Israeli forces kidnaped a child as he was grazing sheep in the Rajum I’ali area.

In Nablus, several neighborhoods of the city witnessed IOF raids, including the Old City, the commercial market, Faisal Street, al-Ein refugee camp, and the vicinity of Balata and Askar al-Jadeed camps, as well as al-Mai Street.

In Bethlehem, settlers attacked homes with stones in the Khalayel al-Louz area southeast of the city.

They also grazed their sheep on swaths of Palestinian land in the same area under military protection, deliberately provoking and harassing local residents.

Last night, two children suffered suffocation after Israeli forces raided the town of al-Khader and al-Dheisha refugee camp south of Bethlehem, where they fired tear gas canisters.
