The former head of the Israeli army intelligence directorate, Amos Yadlin, described on Thursday the Iranian response as “unprecedented” over 100 years, emphasizing the necessity of possessing the strategic patience that the Iranians have.
In an interview for the Israeli Channel 12, Yadlin said that the operation against Iran “should have taken place on the night between Saturday and Sunday, undoubtedly, at a time when Iranian missiles were flying toward Israel,” adding, “Today we must have what is generally present among Iranians – strategic patience.”
On Iran’s complex and intense response, which included ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones, the ex-top Israeli security official said, “This is an attack unprecedented in any twentieth-century war,” and that not even Russia “succeeded in launching such a salvo in Ukraine in two years.”

Regret their actions
The United States, France, the UK, and Jordan among other unnamed countries, established air defense networks comprised of tens of fighter jets to intercept Iranian missiles and drones. US sea warships and the Iron Dome in Jordan also participated in the efforts. However, Israeli military targets still got hit by Iranian missiles that bypassed the complex protective shield.
Following Iran’s response, the United States and Western allies of “Israel” called on the entity not to hastily react and attack the Islamic Republic, fearing that they might be dragged into a regional war after Tehran warned that any strike on its soil would be decisively responded to with “ten times” the force.

Commenting on Washington’s position, Yadlin said, “The entire Middle East remembers that the United States did not respond, and the same goes for Saudi Arabia and the Emirates… But Israel must establish its position as a deterrent force, even if not at the present time.”
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi revealed on Thursday that more than 10 countries attempted, using their technological capabilities, to thwart Operation True Promise but failed.
He indicated that the precise Iranian retaliatory strikes against “Israel” took place even though Iran did not employ the element of surprise but proceeded with the attack according to a prior announcement.
The Iranian President warned that if the Israeli occupation entity makes a mistake and attacks Iranian territories, Tehran’s response will make “Israel” and its backers regret their actions.
