Al-Quds Brigades – Jenin Brigade retaliated against the Israeli assassination of the commander of the Tulkarm Brigade, Mohammad Jaber (Abu Shujaa), at the Nur Shams refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.

In a brief statement, the Jenin Brigade said that its Resistance fighters targeted the Israeli “Salem” camp in response to the assassination of Jaber at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces after they besieged the camp and raided it for over 18 hours.

This comes as the Tulkarm Brigade confirmed that its Resistance fighters continue to confront and target the raiding Israeli occupation forces with heavy gunfire and explosive devices.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 16-year-old Qais Fathi Nasrallah was killed at the hands of Israeli occupation forces in the Tulkarm refugee camp. The official Palestinian news agency Wafa mentioned that Nasrallah was martyred after being “shot in the head by Israeli live gunfire.”

Wafa also said that 30-year-old Salim Faisal Ghanem was killed by Israeli troops in the Nur Shams camp.

Local media also reported the martyrdom of Palestinian youths Jihad Zandiq and Ahmad al-Aref after being targeted by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire in the camp.

Earlier on Friday, the Israeli military said that an officer from the reserve forces, along with three other soldiers, were wounded in the Nur Shams camp in Tulkarm, northwest of the occupied West Bank.

Al Mayadeen‘s correspondent reported ongoing confrontations between Palestinian Resistance fighters and Israeli occupation forces in the camp. The Israeli occupation forces detained at least 10 Palestinians in Nur Shams.

Later, national and Islamic forces in Tulkarm declared a public mourning and a general strike.

Our correspondent had reported violent explosions in the Nur Shams camp, where confrontations intensified as the Israeli occupation forces besieged the camp from all directions.

Palestinian media outlets pointed out that the Israeli incursion resulted in massive destruction in the Nur Shams camp, with military bulldozers deliberately destroying shops there.

The occupied West Bank has been witnessing daily confrontations, especially since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, with its towns and cities subjected to daily Israeli raids accompanied by extensive detention campaigns.
