Dozens of settler violations documented in the West Bank, O. Jerusalem in 24 hours

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Settlement Observatory documented 31 settler violations across various areas of the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem over the past 24 hours. These included incursions into Aqsa Mosque, assaults on residents, land bulldozing, and property destruction.

Aqsa raids and escalation in Jerusalem neighborhoods

In its report, the Observatory noted that Aqsa Mosque witnessed a series of incursions on Tuesday morning, with 120 settlers entering its courtyards and performing provocative Talmudic rituals, coinciding with “Holocaust Remembrance.”

According to the Observatory’s data, the number of settlers who have stormed Aqsa since last Thursday has exceeded 1,000.

In residential neighborhoods, the Israeli forces demolished walls in the Al-Bustan neighborhood, leading to the displacement of hundreds of residents, in preparation for demolishing homes and converting the area into facilities serving settlers.

Nablus: Land and property attacks

In Nablus Governorate in the northern West Bank, violations ranged from restricting residents’ movement to attacks on land and property.

In the town of As-Sawiya, a military checkpoint was set up, and residents were prevented from passing. Meanwhile, settler movements and provocations were reported in Khirbet al-Marajem and the town of Duma.

Bulldozing operations were also recorded in the town of Qusra, affecting 8 dunums of land, uprooting 160 olive trees, and destroying a water well. Roads were blocked, and water lines between Duma and Khirbet al-Marajem were cut.

In Huwwara, settlers attempted to run over a child, while 25 sheep were stolen in the Mahfuriya/At-Tawil area. Land was also bulldozed in Beita to construct a settler road.

Bethlehem: Road construction and attacks on farmers

In Bethlehem Governorate in the southern West Bank, settlers built a settlement road in Wadi al-Mu’allaq in the town of Tuqu’, which led to the destruction of an old cemetery.

The area also witnessed land bulldozing and the installation of settlement caravans, in addition to an assault on a Palestinian farmer who was beaten and sprayed with pepper spray under the protection of occupation forces.

Al-Khalil: Home raids and agricultural damage

In al-Khalil Governorate, settlers raided homes in the town of Ash-Shuyukh and attempted to take control of them.

In Sa’ir, a settlement road was constructed, and landowners were threatened, while agricultural land in Dura was subjected to widespread destruction affecting around 1,000 dunams planted with wheat, along with the uprooting of olive trees.

Two residents were also detained in Masafer Yatta after being attacked by settlers.

Ramallah: Land targeting and field activity

In Ramallah Governorate in the central West Bank, violations included fencing off agricultural land in Deir Dibwan in preparation for confiscation and damaging crops and olive trees in Turmus Ayya.

Intensive movements by settlers and occupation forces were also recorded in Umm Safa, while residents of Sinjil launched an initiative to plow lands threatened with confiscation.

Other areas

In Qalqilya and Salfit governorates, official plans were published to expand settlements and deposit new settlement schemes.

In Jericho, settlers vandalized farmers’ property at Ein al-Auja spring by cutting the main water lines.

The data documented by the Settlement Observatory indicates a continuous and multifaceted escalation affecting various governorates, targeting land, property, and infrastructure within less than a single day.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers carried out 497 attacks in the West Bank during March, concentrated in Nablus (113 attacks), al-Khalil (110), and Ramallah and Al-Bireh (90).
