A Palestinian child was killed in al-Khalil after being run over by a Jewish settler, while a woman in Jenin died from wounds inflicted by Israeli gunfire two years ago. Their martyrdom was reported on Tuesday morning.

Medical sources reported that 16-year-old Mohamed al‑Jabari sustained serious injuries after being struck by a settler’s vehicle on a road in the village of Beit Einun, north of al-Khalil, and was later pronounced dead.

According to WAFA news agency, at around six o’clock in the morning, while Jabari was riding his bicycle on his way to school, he was run over by a settler driving a car used by security guards of an Israeli minister in the al-Khalil area.

The car-ramming attack happened on Road 60 leading to the illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba, particularly at the Beit Einun junction near al-Khalil.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian woman called Raja Owais from Jenin refugee camp was pronounced dead in the morning, succumbing to wounds she sustained from Israeli army gunfire two years ago.

Owais sustained severe injuries during an Israeli military attack on Jenin camp in 2023. She remained in Jenin Hospital with her parents, who were left homeless after Israeli forces displaced them and demolished their house.

Since October 2023, over 1,186 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank, while 9,816 others have been injured as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression, particularly in refugee camps and northern areas.

The West Bank has witnessed 238,048 Israeli violations carried out by soldiers and settlers since October 2023.
