The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, announced on Saturday that it will hold a second round of elections to choose its leader.
In a brief press statement, Hamas said it had conducted a first round of voting to elect the head of the Movement, but the result was not decided. Accordingly, a second round will be held later, in line with the Movement’s regulations and procedures.
The statement did not disclose the identities of the candidates competing for the position of Hamas leader.
