The director of Areeha Governmental Hospital announced, during the early hours of Tuesday, that Shadi Issa Jalaita, 44, a father of three children, was shot and killed by Israeli occupation forces

Local media reported that the martyr Shadi was the brother of prisoner Fadi Jalaita, 46, who marked his 24th year in occupation prisons last Wednesday. Fadi was sentenced to 25 years in prison and had been serving his sentence when his father passed away.

Israeli occupation forces stormed the Aqabat Jaber and Ain Sultan camps in southern and northern Areeha, as well as the al-Duyuk village and several other towns in the vicinity, injuring two civilians as they opened fire against residents.

Medical sources reported that a boy in Aqabat Jaber camp was seriously injured by a bullet to the chest, and was transported to Ramallah Hospital, while another injured Palestinian, who had been shot in the knee, was taken to Areeha Hospital.

Local sources said that the two camps were simultaneously raided by the IOF, which stormed and searched a number of homes and arrested two young men, Khamis Abu Dahuk and Jihad Manasra, from the Ain Sultan camp.

Reports stated that Resistance fighters confronted the IOF and engaged in separate clashes with them, amid calls through mosque loudspeakers to confront the Israeli incursions into the two camps.

Resistance fighters dominate confrontations

Yesterday, clashes erupted between resistance fighters and Israeli occupation forces in Tubas and the Balata camp in east Nablus, where an Israeli soldier was injured.

Al Mayadeen‘s correspondent in occupied Palestine also reported on Sunday that Israeli occupation forces partially withdrew their soldiers from the Nur Shams camp in Tulkarm, in the occupied West Bank, following a three-day siege.

Reportedly, the IOF shut the Hamra checkpoint in the town of al-Aghwar after Resistance fighters carried out several shooting operations against their soldiers.

Our correspondent also relayed that an Israeli military jeep was targeted and fired at in Ramallah, in the West Bank.

This coincides with the announcement of the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Nur Shams after a three-day siege during which several Palestinians were martyred, while others were detained by the IOF.

The Israeli occupation consequently revealed that seven soldiers were wounded throughout their offensive, two of whom had sustained moderate injuries.
