Hussam Badran, a senior member of the political bureau of Hamas, has called for strengthening Palestinian national unity to confront escalating challenges across Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and Jerusalem.

Speaking during a meeting organized by the Palestinian Information Media Foundation (FIMED) in Türkiye, Badran emphasized the urgent need for a unified national position, particularly in light of evolving relations with the Palestinian Authority and the broader political landscape.

He pointed to growing tensions in the West Bank, citing continued attacks by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and settlers against Palestinians and their property.

Badran said Hamas maintains ongoing communication with Palestinian factions and political forces both inside and outside Palestine, highlighting what he described as strong political and field-level coordination among resistance groups.

He added that these efforts aim to formulate a unified national position on key political issues and ongoing developments.

The Hamas official also revealed that the Movement has reached common understandings with various factions regarding proposals put forward by Nickolay Mladenov, the Director-General of the United States-led Board of Peace, during his recent engagements with the Movement.
