The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested 16 Palestinian citizens early Wednesday during a wide-scale raid across the West Bank.

In Jenin, local sources reported that the IOF stormed the town of Ya’bad, southwest of the city, and arrested eight young men.

In Nablus, a local source said that the IOF troops raided the city and arrested eight residents, including a teen, after storming several homes and commercial shops.

The Israeli forces also stormed the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, and arrested five residents after raiding and searching their homes.

In addition, the IOF raided the town of Tammun, southeast of Tubas, carrying out violent home searches as the incursion continued into the morning hours.

Meanwhile, the Israeli forces obstructed the movement of residents at the eastern entrance to the city of Qalqilya by setting up a military checkpoint, stopping vehicles, and checking passengers’ IDs, causing severe traffic congestion.

The Palestine Center for Prisoners’ Studies reported that the Israeli forces carried out 610 arrests in the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem over the past month, including 31 women and girls and 39 minors, in addition to the death of a detainee in prison.
