Three Lebanese citizens were killed on Thursday evening in an Israeli drone strike in the city of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, as the Israeli army continued to violate the ceasefire.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the bodies of three individuals were recovered after an Israeli strike targeted a vehicle on the road to the town of Choukin in the Nabatieh district.

Two others were injured in Israeli artillery shelling on the town of Yater in the Bint Jbeil district in southern Lebanon, according to the ministry.

On April 17, US President Donald Trump announced a 10-day truce, renewable upon agreement; however, Israel continues to violate it daily through shelling, targeted strikes, and the demolition of homes in southern Lebanon.

Before the truce, Israel had launched an offensive on Lebanon beginning March 2, leaving 2,475 killed and 7,696 injured, in addition to more than one million displaced people, according to official data.

Israel continues to occupy areas in southern Lebanon, some for decades and others since the previous war between October 2023 and November 2024. During the current offensive, Israeli forces have also advanced approximately 10 kilometers into southern Lebanese territory.
