Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon have killed at least 16 people, including children and women, and wounded several others, according to the National News Agency (NNA) on Thursday.

In the town of Jebchit, three people were killed and seven wounded in an attack that destroyed a residential building. Another attack killed four civilians from the same family, including a child.

In the town of Toul, four people were killed and six wounded in an Israeli strike.

Later, another Israeli attack hit a home in Toul, killing one person and injuring two others.

In the municipality of Harouf, two people were killed in a strike that also destroyed a house.

NNA also reported that an airstrike on the town of al‑Shihabiyah killed two people and injured another. Meanwhile, two additional strikes targeted a house and a sports club in the al‑Tabala area of Khirbet Selm, with no immediate information available on any casualties.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army has issued more forced displacement threats for 15 southern Lebanese towns and villages.

Alongside the aerial strikes, the Israeli army detonated multiple homes and infrastructure, particularly in the city of Bint Jbeil, further expanding the scale of destruction in the occupied areas.

In the past 24 hours, Israeli air attacks have killed more than 20 people, including members of two families, two Lebanese army soldiers, and three paramedics. More than 70 others, including children, were injured in the attacks, according to Lebanon’s health ministry on Thursday.

The relentless Israeli attacks come amid a temporary US-mediated ceasefire deal agreed between Israel and Lebanon that took effect on April 17.

On Wednesday, the health ministry said that 42 people were killed within 24 hours as a result of Israeli attacks, raising the death toll to 2,576, alongside 7,962 injured since March 2.
