Wounded Gazans and families stage sit-in demanding right to medical treatment abroad

GAZA, (PIC)

Dozens of wounded Palestinians and their families held a sit-in on Tuesday at Palestine Square in eastern Gaza City under the slogan “It is My Right to Receive Treatment.”

They called for permission to travel abroad for medical care amid the ongoing closure of crossings and delays in evacuating medical cases.

Participants carried banners affirming that medical treatment is a “right, not a favor,” and calling for allowing them to travel to receive medical care outside Gaza.

The wounded also displayed personal photos showing their conditions before and after their injuries, in an effort to convey to the world the harsh changes in their lives, stressing that treatment delays deprive them of recovery and a return to normalcy.
