Israeli occupation forces on Friday continued violating the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip for the 211th consecutive day through artillery shelling, gunfire, and attacks targeting civilians in several areas across the territory.

Local sources reported that Israeli tanks opened heavy fire east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, alongside artillery shelling targeting other areas of the city.

Israeli naval boats also fired heavy machine guns intensively off the coast west of Gaza City.

Israeli artillery further shelled areas surrounding the Wadi Gaza bridge northeast of the Nuseirat and Bureij refugee camps.

Earlier on Thursday, three police officers were killed and others wounded after Israeli aircraft targeted a security checkpoint west of Gaza City.

Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire through airstrikes and artillery attacks on areas sheltering displaced civilians, in addition to demolition and destruction operations inside what is referred to as the “Yellow Line,” while maintaining restrictions on the movement of goods, aid, and travel.

According to figures released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of people killed since the ceasefire began on October 10 last year has risen to 846, with 2,418 injuries reported, in addition to 769 bodies recovered from the rubble.

The overall toll from the Israeli offensive since October 7, 2023, has reached approximately 72,628 killed, while 172,520 others were injured, underscoring the high human cost of the ongoing war on Gaza.
