Gaza faces acute water crisis, collapsing sanitation system

GAZA, (PIC)

Gaza is facing a catastrophic water and sanitation crisis, with over 96% of households lacking access to sufficient water. The destruction of critical water and wastewater infrastructure has forced displaced families to survive on a fraction of the minimum emergency water standard.

The lack of clean drinking water and collapsing sanitation networks have created a severe public health emergency. The overcrowding in displacement camps and tent shelters has triggered outbreaks of disease, dehydration, and severe hygiene issues.
