Hamas urges ceasefire mediators to end Israel’s violations in Gaza

GAZA, (PIC)

The Hamas Movement has strongly denounced the escalating Israeli crimes and violations in the Gaza Strip, including last night’s strikes on homes that led to the displacement of several families.

In a statement on Saturday, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem explained that the Gaza understandings stipulated Israel’s military withdrawal from the Strip and a halt to its efforts to impose new faits accomplis on the ground.

“However, Israel continued its campaign of shelling, demolition, and incursions into civilian neighborhoods, seeking to create new faits accomplis and deepen the siege on our people,” spokesman Qassem said.

“What is happening is not passing violations, but rather systematic aggression and disregard for mediators’ efforts and guarantees, as well as a continuation of the siege, starvation, and killing policies against more than two million people,” the spokesman added.

He called on mediators of the Sharm el-Sheikh ceasefire agreement and the Board of Peace to take urgent action to stop Israel’s grave violations in Gaza and compel it to honor its commitments.
