A Palestinian young man was martyred on Wednesday evening, succumbing to serious injuries from live bullets fired by armed Jewish settlers during their terrorist attack on the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

According to local and medical sources, 29‑year‑old Atef Awawdeh died shortly after arriving at Palestine Hospital from wounds sustained when settlers shot him in the back in the town.

Eyewitnesses reported that a horde of armed settlers attacked the outskirts of Deir Dibwan, firing live ammunition at residents, critically wounding Awawdeh.

They added that Israeli forces closed the town’s entrance during the attack before later storming it and kidnaping at least 40 citizens.

At the same time, Israeli forces closed the road between the towns of Beitin and Deir Dibwan, northeast of Ramallah.

Yesterday, three Palestinians were killed in terrorist settler attacks in the West Bank.
